Who we are - Meet the founders
Life's path is unpredictable, often leading us to places we never planned to go. Destiny's twists can bring both unexpected blessings and challenges, shaping who we become.
Bjorn
Bjorn has an extensive background in engineering, having studied at Linköping University in Sweden. His career spans various technical and management roles in the telecom and aviation industries, as well as positions as an IT and Business Consultant for companies in Sweden, Singapore, and the USA.
With a deep commitment to addressing alcohol and substance addiction, Björn transitioned into the field of addiction recovery. He became a certified recovery coach and alcohol and drug counselor and founded The Zenit Room in 2020. His mission is to provide effective support and guidance for individuals and families affected by addiction.
In addition to his work at The Zenit Room, Björn collaborates with addiction treatment centers across Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, the USA, and Spain. He also works with the Recovery Coach Academy in the UK.
Björn is an active member of the International Association of Recovery Coach Professionals (IARCP) and the European Association of Recovery Specialists (EARS), underscoring his ongoing dedication to the field of addiction recovery.
Carolin
Carolin was born in Sweden and spent her early years living in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Tanzania. After returning to Sweden at the age of 8, she remained there until adulthood. Her global upbringing continued with time spent as an exchange student in Michigan, USA, and working in Bangkok, Thailand.
Carolin pursued a teaching career and has spent over 35 years educating both children and adults. Her personal experiences with alcoholism, first through her mother and later through her husband, have deeply shaped her understanding of addiction. These experiences led her to join recovery herself and ultimately inspired her to support others in similar situations.
Carolin is now dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by addiction. She is actively involved with The Zenit Room and works within the Castle Health Group at Smarmore Castle Private Clinic in Ireland.
As a member of the International Association of Recovery Coach Professionals (IARCP) and the European Association of Recovery Specialists (EARS), Carolin is committed to advancing her expertise in the field of addiction recovery.
